*Babywearing* Boba Organic Carrier Product Review

I definitely consider myself a babywearing mama! I have enjoyed wearing my boys around since they were newborns! My favorite parts about babywearing are that I am always close with my little one while having my hands free for other things! What parent would not like that?! :)

These days, parents who wear their children get mixed opinions from others. When I am pushing my boys in their stroller, I never get comments on why I do that or how beneficial it is for them. But it is entirely different when I toss one of my boys into a carrier. Then most everyone has something to say (or looks to give) regarding my appearance.

I never knew it would be so strange to wear my babies. I thought it was normal! Well, it seems normal to me; parents all over the world have been wearing their children for hundreds of years! So why is it that having a 18-month-old boy on my back in a carrier so weird for people?! I honestly don’t understand (if you do, please feel free to enlighten me!). I suppose most parents choose the stroller as a form of getting around hands-free and I understand. I use my stroller often. I suppose people assume I am some sort of weird hippie character that carries the children around? (They would probably *gasp* in horror if they found out I use cloth diapers as well!)

Ha.

Carrying your children is hugely beneficial to both the child and the parent! It has been found that babies cry less when being carried and it does wonders for a child’s development, being so near to mama all the time! Both Cohen and Eli both love being in the carrier. Cohen thinks it’s a ride and asks to be in it often! I normally put the little one in but sometimes I like to give Cohen a turn. :) He enjoys it and I am able to get things done with my hands, without having boys nipping at my heels.. It really is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your child, easing your transition into having a new baby!

Anyway, back to the point… I have always loved wearing my boys but the one and only problem I have come across is that both my boys have been extremely chubby, so it’s made finding the perfect carrier a challenge. Finding the perfect carrier is a big adventure for any parent who decides to wear their baby. There are so many options out there to choose from! I have tried most carriers, packs and slings out there and I have just now (finally!) fallen in love…

I’d like you all to meet the Boba Carrier.

The Boba Organic Carrier I received for review was everything I was hoping for and more. I cannot explain in words how much I love this carrier but most of my closest friends and family know the I rave about it all the time! :)

I chose the Organic Pine Carrier and could not have asked for a more perfect product.

Immediately, I fell in love with the colors, bright swirls of green and rich brown body.

Just one of the many unique features are the Footstraps, made for kids with longer legs. Cohen didn’t like them so I actually took them off. They are very easy to remove.

Another fun feature is the removable sleep hood. This rolls up for easy storage when not in use or you can unroll it easily with one hand if you have a sleeping baby. This covers your little one’s head, to keep from sagging. This is perfect for little babies who still sleep all the time. There is not a problem now if your child falls asleep while in the carrier! Just unwrap your sleep hood, snap to the right hight and you’re set! :) My boys don’t fall asleep in the carrier but I can’t wait to use this feature with our next baby!

This is a terrible picture of me (yikes!) but here is what the carrier looks like on, with Co-Man in the back. I can easily swing either boy into the back carry position by myself but maybe with a younger child, you might need some assistance..

From the back, doesn’t he look comfy?! No wonder he wants a ride all the time! :)

Here is what the carrier looks like in the front carry position. This one is best for the younger children but Eli is also still an ok size (26 lbs) to ride in the front as well as the back. Cohen (31 lbs) is better in the back because he’s so tall.

Boba is a Soft Structured baby carrier (SSC) that is intended for children between 15 to 45 lbs. Boba has a few extra inches of height to keep your center of gravity closer to your body and support your little one’s back.  The innovative thing about the Boba carrier is that there are foot straps attached to the waist belt for the child’s feet to sit in enabling a healthy sitting position for the child.  The footstraps not only give little tired legs a rest, but support the legs in a flexed abducted (froglike) position which naturally tilts the pelvis, fills out the hip sockets, and aligns the spine.

I absolutely love everything about my new Boba Organic Carrier! This structured carrier, I believe, is the best on the market today! I urge you all to consider adding this amazing carrier to your collection. It will certainly make your lives a lot easier!

A HUGE Thank-You to Boba for providing the wonderful carrier for me to review!
