{New Baby Event} Take the guesswork out of car seat installation with the Summer Prodigy Infant Car Seat #Review

Did you know that 7 out of 10 car seats are not installed properly?! With those high numbers, it is incredibly likely that one or more of the car seats in your own car are not installed correctly! That’s pretty scary! I know that I am very nervous about how tight the car seats are attached with the belt or LATCH and equally particular about how tight the straps are on the kiddos.. I’ve never been in an accident with them in the car but my view is that it is WAY better to be safe than sorry..!

The car seat I bought new with Cohen, and then used with Eli as well, was new at the time but still did not have even the LATCH system to install in the car.. I was always rechecking the seat to make sure it was tight enough and that the babies were not going to be hurt if we got in an accident. This time around, I searched for the newest seat that would help my nervousness with taking my children in the car. I was so excited to come across the Summer Prodigy Infant Car Seat with Smart Screen Technology to put every parents’ mind at ease!

The Prodigy Infant Car Seat is guided by Smart Screen technology and a revolutionary belt tightening system, you know you’ve installed it correctly when a smile appears. It is that easy! No need to re-thread the straps either. With the SafeGuard 1-Adjust harness system, the straps automatically conform to your baby’s body for a perfect fit every time. With 7 out of 10 car seats currently being installed incorrectly, the Prodigy takes the guesswork out of a proper installation and replaces it with a secure fit to both the car and baby.

I was thrilled to find out that the newest car seat technology was also paired with a very cute seat! The colors and patterns are neutral, perfect for either a boy or a girl.. I also liked that it came with an infant insert as well as shoulder straps!

The Summer Prodigy Infant Car Seat is for infants and babes from 4-32 pounds, making this car seat last even longer! Both Elias and Cohen are only around 35 pounds right now and they are 2.5 and almost 4 years! This car seat will likely last you until around 2 years, unless you have a real chunky monkey! :) I know that for me, personally, I like to upgrade my kids into the convertible car seat around 20 pounds (or 1 year old) but if you like to get the most out of your money (who doesn’t?!), you can use this one for a very long time!!

This car seat truly has every upgrade you could ask for! The Smart Screen technology makes it easier than pie to unsure the perfect installation with actual flashing warning lights that flash until the seat is in just the right spot, then switching over to the green smiley face. Seriously, even grandparents or a car-seat-clueless Daddy is guaranteed success! Even the LATCH clasps are a newer, easier version! Granted, my boys seats are a couple/few years old but on both of their seats, the LATCH clasps are hooks that you have to hook on.. This seat has clasps that you just push on, click into place and you’re done! So simple!

Also, one of my other favorite features is the adjustable straps.. The Prodigy has a unique SafeGuard 1-Adjust harness system that is super easy to use and it provides the perfect fit for baby every time! Just push the button on the bottom to release the straps to place baby in. Then pull the strap to tighten the shoulders and secure baby. No more taking the seat apart when you need to move the straps higher for a bigger baby! Just pull and go! Again, easy peasy.

It only took me less than 5 minutes to install this seat in my van, my first time doing it.. All of the amazing new features make it not only fast and easy but gives you peace of mind as well! That, in my opinion, is something I will pay extra for!

The Summer Prodigy Infant Car Seat definitely shines with high-quality features, fabric and style! Need a baby shower gift or need a car seat to add to your own registry??
