{New Baby Event} Tommee Tippee closer to nature Electric Breast Pump review

If you are a working mother or a mom on-the-go, a breast pump is going to be on your must-have list. Even if you stay at home with baby most days, it is still nice to have a pump to use when you want to leave baby for a couple hours to get some much-needed mommy time!

Sometimes, it is just nice to let someone else feed baby. It can get tiring, at times, being the only source of food for your little one. I know that there were times, especially with my first, where I just needed a little break! I would pump and give Hubby the bottle so he could feed instead.

A breast pump gives you options and that’s important when you have a new little one!

Finding a good-quality breast pump can be a difficult task but I am excited to share with you my new favorite pump, the closer to nature electric breast pump by Tommee Tippee!

At first, I was slightly intimidated by all the pieces that came in the box.. But I soon found that it is very simple to assemble, use, clean and store, coming with its own storage and sterilization box! This breast pump is perfect for all kinds of moms. Whether you intend to use this pump for every day pumping while you are at work, or just to use for when you have date night with the hubby, it is tailored to each individual need.

The closer to nature electric breast pump comes with everything you need to pump, store and feed your breastmilk to baby! My favorite feature is the 3-speed pumping system. This helps simulate a nursing baby to stimulate let down. When I first begin pumping, I set the speed to the 1-drop picture. After a minute or two, I will change it to the 2-drop setting. This helps me to express a lot of milk and I normally pump 3-4 ounces from each breast during each pumping session! (This is just me, however.. I have no idea how the pump will work with you and your breasts. I just have a lot of milk) :)

Having a baby in the NICU for 2 weeks after birth, I realized how vitally important it is to have a breast pump. While most of you moms will {hopefully} never have to use a pump for this reason, it is still, in my opinion, a must-have baby item and perfect to add to the baby shower registry! I appreciate the quality of the Tommee Tippee closer to nature line of products because they are made exclusively with the intent to make life for new parents as easy as possible! And we could all, new and seasoned parents alike, use a little ease when it comes to our little ones..

BUY IT: While I definitely recommend placing this pump first on your baby registry (free for you is always nice!), you can also purchase the Tommee Tippee closer to nature electric breast pump from either Target, Babies R’US or Toys R’US! At Target online, you can find the pump system for $134.99; a great investment! :)

I pumped exclusively with my first child for 10 weeks. He just wouldn’t latch and I didn’t know how to deal with it so instead of pushing thru I just pumped. I did not have this pump although this sounds like a really great pump! It do however think a good pump is essential for all new moms and the investment can really pay off in the end. I don’t know what I would have done without my pump! :)

  2. Good to read a review on this. I really liked their bottles, used them with my last baby but my pump bit the dust so I need to get a new one.

  3. I agree that a pump is essential. I felt like I lived on the pump when my lo was in the NICU. I was so glad that I had it when I needed it!

  4. Thanks for this review! I, too, had a baby in the NICU for 2 weeks and because all too familiar with pumping. I rented a hospital grade pump for 6 months and it was incredibly expensive- I wish I would have looked at other options out there, like this one. Even though I’m hoping not to have the same problem with future kids, I appreciate the info about pumps!

  5. Thanks for the review. I wish i had a pump as nice as this one! A good pump is a must for most BFing

  6. My daughter would have loved to have this when my grandsons were born. She had a difficult time with them latching on. Pump technology has really come a long way.
