Learning to express your emotions in a positive way, such as deep breathing or talking it out when angry, can be a difficult lesson for children. I am excited to share with all you parents (and teachers; these would definitely work with students as well!) the amazingly helpful and wonderful products from The Mother Company!
The Mother Co. website is filled with helpful information and tips to help parents raise their children! They also carry many products that bring hands-on learning to each home and help relate to each child’s situations in a fun and productive way..
I received three of their newest products for review with the boys and I cannot thank The Mother Co. enough for making it easier on my to teach these valuable life lessons to my own kids!
I was sent these three books: My Feelings Activity Book, A Little Book About Feelings and Sally Simon Simmons’ Super Frustrating Day.
:My Feelings Activity Book: Makes kids the author with fun, personalized fill-in-the-blank activities to explore who they are and how they feel. Through drawing and meaningful coloring activities, kids will get to know what makes them feel the way they do and how they can make their feelings change. Hardcover. 30 pages. Suggested age: 3-8.
A Little Book About Feelings: A beautiful picture book with enchanting images and empowering messages. Colorful photos of handmade felt creatures engage young children as they learn about the origins, universality and variety of feelings. Based on the “A Little Lesson On Feelings” segment in the award-winning children’s show, “Ruby’s Studio: The Feelings Show.” Hardcover. 30 pages. Suggested age: 2-5.
With fun rhymes and delightful images, this book will captivate young children as it provides parents with the tools to reinforce valuable life lessons.
Sally Simon Simmons’ Super Frustrating Day follows little, red-haired whippersnapper Sally, who is hilariously tasked with building a mile-high, super tall sandwich in class. She sets off with gusto, only to watch her creations land with a splat over and over. Right alonside Sally, children will learn to breathe, take it slow, and try their best in this triumphant exploration of frustration, one of the greatest emotional challenges of early childhood (and beyond!)
Hardcover. Suggested age: 3-6
These books from The Mother Co. have been so incredibly helpful for me as my boys are growing into their personalities. They are both very strong-willed, and hard-headed at times, and with the help from these books as well as their video, Ruby’s Studio: The Feelings Show, they are much better at communicating with me what is going on in their heads. Cohen is better at this because he is older and has retained more of the books and movie lessons but Eli is definitely following Cohen’s lead!
All three of us love Sally Simon Simmons’ Super Frustrating Day the best. They are both in the prime fit-throwing stage (which is normal for their ages: 4 and 2.5) so they can definitely relate to the book and how she get frustrated.. The book goes through Sally’s story of how she gets frustrated and then she learns to go slowly and try again to get it right! It’s a wonderful lesson and Cohen is noticeably more thoughtful of his actions after we read it together!
I wholeheartedly stand behind The Mother Company and everything they are doing to help families! In my opinion, their products (books, CDs, dolls and DVDs) are very inexpensive and a must-have for all young kids! Just take a peek at their movie to see how unique, creative and wonderful it truly is:
BUY IT: You can purchase any of The Mother Co. products directly from their website! Each of the books I received are only $12.95, which is a great deal in my book (no pun intended)!

My two daughters
I would love to win these for my grandsons. At only twenty months apart they each can become fristrated with the other and aren’t sure how to express this. They are 3 1/2 & 5 so they just automatically reach out to hit one another and this makes no sense as they never seen anyone hitting nor are they ever spanked.
Would love these for my daughter
