I have gotten out of the routine of using prefolds and covers with Natalie, since we have so many pockets, but now that I have this adorable Hello Kitty diaper cover from Zookaboo, it makes me want to use my prefolds and fitteds more often! I smile every time she has her cute little Helly Kitty fluffy bum..
About Zookaboo Diaper Covers:
This diaper cover can be used over any prefold or fitted cloth diaper. It can also be used alone as a swim diaper.
The inner layer of the cover is waterproof PUL (polyurethane laminate) and the outer layer is a 100% cotton print with sugar skulls on blue. It has a double row of snaps and white fold over elastic to keep everything inside.
One size diaper covers have rise snaps in the front.
One size diaper covers have two additional hip snaps up front. These will help to keep the front panel in place and prevent wing droop.
Care: Machine wash cold or warm in cloth diaper safe detergent; line dry is recommended to extend the life of the cover. (Recommend drying once to seal any holes made in the cover during sewing.)
OS: 13-19″ rise (10-35lbs.)
Rise is from belly button to back waist.
**Weight measurement is approximate as each baby is built differently. It also depends on how much diaper is put on the inside.**
This simple diaper cover is one-sized but is a bit on the bigger side. I would guess that even on the smallest setting, this one would be too big until about 10-12 pounds or so. Right now, Natalie is on the 2nd rise setting, even though she is on the biggest setting of all her other one-size diapers. I like this, though, because it gives more room to grow! If you do want to get a cover from Zookaboo to fit small babies, however, she does sell newborn diaper covers in her Etsy store for a cheaper price than the one-sized, only $10!
I hope to purchase more Zookaboo diapers in the very near future. I have a good friend who is pregnant and I want to buy a couple newborn covers for her as well! I enjoy all the the cute prints and Zookaboo even sells baby gift sets, with matching diaper and tee! How perfect for a baby shower or mama-to-be!
I wish I had come across Zookaboo diaper covers when I first started out, way back when I first started cloth diapering, when Eli was 2 months old and Cohen was 18 months. When buying for 2 kids, I stocked up on tons of prefolds and covers because those were cheapest.. The covers that I got worked great but I would have preferred these, with all of the fun prints and patterns! Zookaboo diapers are great for moms on a budget, that’s for sure..
I love that Zookaboo diaper covers are such good quality and are extremely affordable. All of her ready-to-ship (meaning already made) covers are from $10-17.. What a great deal! And you absolutely must check out the Zookaboo blankets selection!
